Chocolate Chip Cookies Made With Olive Oil
Everyone loves a good chocolate chip cookie. The warm dough and melting chocolate chips are the perfect combination. This Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe is made with wholesome ingredients that prioritize nutrition without sacrificing flavor. Substituting butter for Extra Virgin Olive Oil is key in adding nutrition as well as scrumptious flavor. This recipe only takes 15 minutes to make and is super easy!
Recipe
Makes 12 Cookies
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup Templeton Olive Oil
1 egg
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt
In a separate bowl, combine olive oil, brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Slowly add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture and mix until fully combined (i use a stand mixer, but a handheld mixer works just as well)
Once the dough is formed, add in the chocolate chips (and cinnamon if using) and mix again
Roll dough into about 12 tablespoon sized balls and place on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet (do not press down yet)
Bake for 9-12 minutes or until tops begin to turn golden brown
Once done, remove from oven, and gently press down on the tops of the cookies to flatten them slightly
