Homemade Pizza Dough
Did you know you can make your own pizza dough from scratch in only 10 minutes?! Homemade pizza dough will make all the difference in enhancing your pizza with no artificial ingredients or preservatives. This recipe will add flavor to your pizza and is also really fun and easy to make!
Tip - although the recipe only takes 10 minutes, the dough must rest for two hours, so prepare in advance.
Recipe
Yields 2 10-inch pizzas
Ingredients:
1 3/8 cups lukewarm water
3/4 tablespoon granulated yeast
3/4 tablespoon salt
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1/8 cup Templeton Olive Oil
3 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
Directions:
Mix the yeast, salt, sugar and olive oil with the water in a bowl or lidded (not air-tight) food container.
Mix in the flour without kneading using a spoon. (You may need to use wet hands to incorporate the last bit of flour.)
Cover (not air-tight) and allow to rest at room temperature until dough rises and collapses (or flattens on top), approximately 2 hours.
The dough can be used immediately after the initial rise, though it is easier to handle when cold. Refrigerate in a lidded (again, not air-tight) container and use over the next 12 days.
